The Pitt Panthers to get the job done versus Louisville

We went 1-1 last night to take our record to 18-9 for the season for a very strong 67% winning percentage.Tonight we have the Pittsburgh Panthers playing Louisville in a Big East matchup with the Panthers being seven point favorites. Pittsburgh -7 over Louisville
The Panthers have not beaten Louisville in Louisville for a long long time but we feel tonight that is going to change. The only question is whether Pitt can cover the seven points. We think they can. Last year Pitt beat Louisville by 34, winning 41-7. Although the teams are a bit different this year and the game is in Louisville we just don’t see Louisville closing the gap enough to keep this game closer than seven points. Louisville has lost their last two game, both on the road, and looked pretty bad in doing so. Getting home might be the cure for Louisville but they have some big obstacles in their way. Offensively the Panthers have enough to put a lot of pressure on the Cardinal defense, especially on the ground. The Panthers can run the ball and we expect them to run with ease and make some big plays in the passing game. College football selections for October 1st, 2009- Two games tonight

We went 4-0 on Sunday and then got a little unlucky to lose our Monday night game. Our overall record for the season is now 17-8 for a strong 68%.Two more selections tonight!We have started the year out strong with our NCAA and NFL selections and we have two more games tonight. First we will start with the Colorado versus W. Virginia game and then give you our writeup on the Southern Mississippi game. Colorado +17 over W. Virginia There is no doubt in our mind that W. Virginia is the better team, but taking WV and giving 17 points does not seem like a smart thing to do….especially on a Thursday night game where it seems dogs cover a lot of the time. W. Virginia has the advantage in speed, on offense, and on defense, and they have the homefield advantage. However they were beat by Colorado last year and we just don’t see a 17 point swing here. Colorado simply has not played well this year but they have not been as bad as a lot of people. Colorado has the size and strength to bully their way around in this game and keep it close. W. Virginia should win this game…but we are simply not going to give 17 points. Colorado +17 over W. Virginia Souther Mississippi -10 over Alabama-Birmingham This is a horrible game…at least on paper. S. Miss has absolutely destroyed AB this last two years and we can see that happening again. Look for S. Miss to run all over AB and control the AB offense. Well we did not have a GREAT Saturday but we did finish a respectable 3-2 for the week in the NCAA 2009 season.We are now 13-7 overall for the NCAA and NFL season.Stop losing and start winning! Check out these amazing results.What was good: Stanford covers against the Huskies We got an fairly easy win with the Stanford Cardinals winning easy against a very overrated Washington Husky team. The Cardinals are a decent team that we will watch for more value as the season goes along. Oregon wins as a dog versus California It seems like every year the Golden Bears lose a game right when they are on the verge of being a serious national contender…and they did it again. And this game was not close. The Ducks put everything together and destroyed California. Does this mean the Ducks are back on track? Not sure yet but we will be closely watching the lines on this team in the future. They seem to be a solid team that are finding themselves. South Florida wins outright as a dog versus Florida St. We really liked S. Florida to cover this spread but we are surprised they won the game as easy as they did. Florida St. looked totally unprepared to play while South Florida acted like this was a bowl game. Now for the bad!Cincy wins but doesn’t come close to covering We thought Cincy would easily cover versus Fresno St. but that was not the case. Cincy jumped out to a 14-3 lead and then seemed to fall asleep. They won the game but not by the blowout we thought they would. Offensively Cincy just did not get the job done. Georgia wins but does not cover The Bulldogs got the win…but barely. This was a close game throughout which really surprised us. We thought the Bulldogs would take contol early and win easy. Boise St. versus Fresno St: Boise St to win in high scoring game
Boise St. -7.5 versus Fresno StThis could be a big time shoot out, but in the end run we expect the Boise St. Broncos to win by double digits.Let’s take a closer look at this game. The Broncos are on a mission to show the country that they should be in a BCS game at the end of the year. They started the season off with a nice win against Oregon, although with the way Oregon has played that might not be as an impressive win as it seems. They next destroyed Miami of Ohio…which again is not something to really brag about but the one thing that Boise St. has shown is the ability to score points. They will put a lot of pressure on Fresno St. from the start in this game…Fresno St. just doesn’t have the manpower to stay with the high scoring Boise St. offense. Now a quick word about the total….the total is presently set at 52.5 which scares the hell out of us because we really think this total should be over 60….although you do not see line totals of over 60 very much. Still, this total seems far too low to us which makes us wonder if there is something we are missing. We don’t think so. So we are going to include the OVER in this game as one of our official plays.
